BFMV Supports Hope Global Initiative Youth Center

Just a hop and a skip away from BFMV headquarters in historic downtown Newnan, Georgia, the Hope Global Initiative Youth Center, known as “the Hope Center”, is a hive of community activity and development. The Hope Center is run by its parent non-profit, Hope Global Initiative (HGI). Since its founding in 2016, HGI has provided meaningful services and programs to underprivileged families both locally and globally. Hope Global Initiative’s underlying mission is to inspire, equip, and empower underserved families to develop the solutions they need for the challenges they face. Recognizing the importance of this mission to the community, BuckheadFMV has become a sponsor of the Hope Center.

In an interview, active community member and HGI founder Lee Ayers explained what had prompted him to create this space. He had had conversations with mothers in the area about what they would like to see implemented in the community. Their answer: They wanted their children to have a safe place to play and learn outside of school hours. Ayers listened and founded the Hope Center.

Community Outreach Director Jennifer Hamill gave BFMV a tour of the facility, which provides space for exploration and collaboration and is equipped with a basketball court, computer room, art room, and gaming center. Art projects, team sports, and a myriad of other activities are offered to the kids every day that the Hope Center is open, and snacks are always provided. The Hope Center’s staff and team of volunteers is devoted to engaging with and mentoring every child in their care.

Since the establishment of the Hope Center, HGI has expanded its reach by supporting the community through a sustainable housing initiative. Most recently, the venture has developed the Hope Farm, which allows for outdoor therapy and environmental education for the Hope Center’s children. Located in Senoia, the farm is a convenient drive from the center. At the farm, the children are able to observe and enjoy nature while growing their own creativity and teamwork.

BFMV is honored to be able to support the Hope Center and HGI. Please visit their website to learn more and get involved or to donate.
